Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Snow Event

A weak area of low pressure moved just south of Lower Michigan during the day on Tuesday. This weaker system was a northwest extension of the bigger system that brought snow to deep south early this week. A period of light snow occurred across southern lower Michigan during the day on Tuesday, and lasting into the evening hours before ending.

Snow amounts ranged from nothing up toward Ludington in Mason County, to around 5 inches of snow near Jackson. Below is a snow map from the event.
