A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for much of Southwest Lower Michigan through this evening. Snow will persist through much of the day. Already slick driving condtions have been reported and along with several accidents. However as temperatures climb today...any slick driving conditions should migrate toward untreated surfaces. Then later this afternoon and evening, as temperature lower once again, more widespread snow covered roads may develop. Considering the evening could feature more than normal traffic, the impact could be greater. If you have travel plans into tonight, be prepared for the possibility of snow covered roads, especially later this evening. Also, visibilities could fall to a half mile or less at times due to the falling snow. Most of the snow should be pushing east of Lansing by midnight.
