After several days of warm weather, the weather pattern has changed. High temperatures reached the 80s for many locations Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with Muskegon actually setting a new record high temperature on Thursday. However, cooler air has arrived from Canada. Saturday's high temperatures were mainly from 60 to 65 with periods of rain. Sunday is looking even cooler with high temperatures in the low to mid 50s with gusty northeast winds. Periods of rain can be expected to continue. Areas south of Interstate 96 could see up to an additional inch of rain tonight through Sunday, while areas north of the interstate should see less than a half inch of rain
If you have outdoor plans this weekend, you may want to keep the umbrella and jacket handy given that a rather wet and cool period is forecasted.
