There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight for the region south of a line from Muskegon to Alma. The primary threat will be damaging winds and large hail. An isolated tornado is possible as well. There is also a heavy rain risk with the storms, and local amounts of over two inches are possible. This could be enough rain to cause urban and poor drainage flooding. Additional thunderstorms and some heavy rain are forecasted for Thursday.
