A storm system moved across Southwest Michigan Friday bringing a variety of weather to the
area. Up to 2 inches fell in Dighton in Osceola County. Locations near and north of M-20
and east of US-131 had snow while freezing rain was reported over from near Grand Rapids
east and north. Hail fell from thunderstorms that crossed the area during the mid-morning
hours. The state police in Clare County reported that the snow and ice caused six slide
offs and one vehicle turn over mostly during the 1PM to 3 PM time frame.
