Freezing Temperatures Expected Tonight

Freeze warnings are in effect for much of Southwest Lower Michigan tonight.   With mainly clear skies, light winds and an unseasonably cool airmass in place, a favorable set up for widespread below freezing temperatures exists.  After midnight is when most locations will see the temperatures fall below the freezing mark.  By daybreak, most locations should be in the mid to upper 20s, with lower values possible in the normally colder locations.  Protection from the cold is advised if you have plants, trees or shrubs that are vulnerable to sub freezing temperatures.
