A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to cross Lake Michigan during the mid-evening hours reaching the Michigan shore prior to midnight. The storms will be moving east around 50 mph as they come on shore but they are expected to be in a weakening phase as they cross Lake Michigan into Southwest Lower Michigan. The result of this is damaging winds are possible near and west of Route 31 as the storms move inland.
