As Isaac weakens over land and moves northward, the lower Great Lakes and Ohio Valley region will experience tropical-like rains from this system by late in the weekend and early next week. Computer model guidance has been indicating for days that the remnants of Isaac will eventually move across Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. Southern Lower Michigan will come very close to the storm track, and any slight deviation to the north may bring our area some heavy rainfall. Keep checking back for forecast updates from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) as well as rainfall forecasts from the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center (HPC).
