September Climate for Southwest Michigan

     Average temperatures across Southwest Lower Michigan in September 2012 were near to slightly below normal.  It was the second month in a row with near normal temperatures. Above normal high temperatures mostly in the 80s occurred during the first week of the month. Near to below normal temperatures prevailed during the rest of the month. The coldest period was from the 18th through the 24th, when temperatures were as much as ten degrees below normal. The coldest temperature in Southwest Lower Michigan was 24° recorded on the 24th at Leota. The highest temperature during September was 95° at Holland on the 3rd.
