Monday was one of the warmest December days ever, and in one location...it broke all previous records.
On Monday, Muskegon set a new monthly high temperature record for December! The thermometer climbed to 66 degrees at 7:57pm, breaking the old record of 64 degrees set on December 2, 1982. It is important to note that the winds were gusting out of the south at 37 mph at the time the high temperature was reached. This helped to bring a sustained surge of warmth into the area during a time of day when temperatures typically decrease.
