Black Ice a possiblity this morning

..SLIPPERY SPOTS ON ROADS THIS MORNING
 
 
A BRIEF BURST OF LIGHT RAIN MOVED THROUGH SOUTHWEST LOWER  
MICHIGAN OVERNIGHT. IN MANY AREAS THE PRECIPITATION ONLY AMOUNTED  
TO A TRACE. IN LOCATIONS LIKE IONIA AND BARRY COUNTIES THOUGH  
THE PRECIPITATION WAS JUST A BIT HEAVIER.  
 
THE LIGHT PRECIPITATION FELL ON ROADWAYS THAT WAS MOST LIKELY NEAR OR  
SLIGHTLY BELOW FREEZING WHICH HAS RESULTED IN ICY SPOTS. A NUMBER  
OF ACCIDENTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED...SOME OCCURRING EVEN THOUGH THE  
PRECIPITATION IS NOW WELL OFF TO THE EAST.  
 
IF TRAVELLING THIS MORNING BE AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL FOR BLACK  
ICE. DUE TO THE SPOTTY NATURE OF THE OVERNIGHT PRECIPITATION YOU  
MAY ENCOUNTER SOME AREAS THAT HAVE DRY PAVEMENT WHILE OTHER  
LOCATIONS HAVE ICY SPOTS.
