A quick hitting snow event will sweep across Southwest Lower Michigan today, with the bulk of the snow falling between 1000am and 600 pm. The afternoon/evening commute will be impacted by falling snow and slippery conditions. The heaviest snow will fall along the Lake Michigan coast from Grand Haven north toward Ludington where up to 3 inches is possible. Amounts will be much less inland toward Baldwin and Big Rapids with less than 2 inches expected. Further south and east toward Lansing and Jackson snowfall totals will typically be less than one ince.
