Lake Effect Snow and Cold Temperatures Continue Wednesday

Cold, westerly flow and lake effect snow will continue to impact mainly the first two rows of lakeshore counties Wednesday and Wednesday night.  Here is what to expect:

  • 3"-5" of snow along and west of U.S. 131, with some locally higher amounts possible in heavier bands.
  • 1"-2" of snow east of U.S. 131, with lake effect snow winding down everywhere by Thursday morning.
  • Visibilities reduced to 1/2 mile in heavier snow showers.
  • Highs Wednesday in the mid 20s (which is 20 degrees below normal).

Below is a map of anticipated total snowfall from early Wednesday morning through Thursday evening.
