Severe Weather Seminar March 7th - Space is Limited, so Register Today!

The Central Illinois Weather Net - which is a group of Emergency Management Agencies in the NWS Lincoln county warning area - will be hosting the Second Annual Severe Weather Seminar on Saturday March 7th at the Ashland House Best Western and Conference Center in Morton, IL. The all day conference is OPEN to anyone with an interest in weather or severe storms!

Highlights include:

  • Special Guest speaker, Josh Wurman (Discovery Channel's "Storm Chasers" & Doppler on Wheels Operator/Researcher for the Vortex2 Project)
  • National Weather Service meteorologists presenting information about the CoCoRaHS observing program, NWS Severe Weather Operations, and "Weather 101" for Severe Weather

  • Morning Breakout Sessions with various topics
  • Catered lunch & door prizes 

There will be T-shirts for those that register early. Registration is $40 per person no later than February 26th (late registration can be done for $10 more).  Registration fees include a catered lunch and the all-day conference from 8 am to 3:30 pm.
