Heavy Rains Oct 22-23 & Wettest Octobers

 A low pressure system moving across central Illinois brought widespread rain to the region from October 22 into the morning hours of October 23rd.   Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall from the remnants of hurricane Rick, resulting in ponding of water on area roadways and fields.  Rainfall amounts ranging from 1.50 to 2.50 were quite common, with the heaviest rain occurring across parts of McLean and DeWitt counties, where 3 to 3.5 inches was reported by several observers.  To see the latest SWOP rainfall graphic, please got to:
