October 2009 - one of the wettest on record

Plenty of rain has fallen across central and southeast Illinois in October. Statewide, according to the Illinois State Climatologist's office, the statewide average for October 1-30 was 8.35 inches, 5.6 inches above normal, and second highest on record.
