October 2009 rainfall

Plenty of rain has fallen across central and southeast Illinois in October.  Statewide, according to the Illinois State Climatologist's office, the statewide average for October 1-30 was 8.35 inches, 5.6 inches above normal, and second highest on record.  Specific details, as well as statistics for many locations across the state, and graphics of statewide rainfall, can be found in their press release at the following address:  http://www.isws.illinois.edu/atmos/statecli/2009/october2009.htm
