Ensemble River Forecasts Start in Eastern Region

River Forecast Centers serving Eastern Region are now issuing experimental, seven day, short-term ensemble river forecasts.  This will give NWS forecasters an earlier look at possible flood outcomes when advising decision makers.   The public can link to this experimental information at http://www.erh.noaa.gov/mmefs.


River gaging locations in the NWS Lincoln Hydrologic Service Area which are serviced by the Ohio River Forecast Center include:

Vermilion River - Danville
Embarras River - Ste. Marie
Embarras River - Lawrenceville
Little Wabash River - Clay City
