Freezing Temperatures Tonight

Temperatures will fall below freezing again on Wednesday
night/Thursday morning.

A ridge of Canadian high pressure is expected to slide east of Illinois
by early Thursday morning, causing light winds. Skies will be
clear, so the temperatures are expected to fall to below freezing.

Temperatures tonight will fall into a 28-32 degree range in most areas
due to the cold airmass over the region. A Freeze Warning therefore
remains in effect for tonight.

These freezing temperatures will be harmful to many budding and
unprotected sensitive plants during this time of the year. Precautions
should be taken to protect young plants where possible.
