Interference Issues Seen on Lincoln Radar Images

Interference issues have developed with the Lincoln Doppler radar, beginning on November 16th.  In the radar image below, you can see a beam extending at a direction of 277 degrees, or just north of due west from the radar.  It is believed to be due to recent construction on an electronics tower near Lincoln.  The NWS Radar Operations Center is studying the issue, to determine the best course of action to mitigate the interference.  However, there is currently no timeframe on when a permanent fix will be available.
