* TIMING...A BREAK IN THE SNOW WILL BE FOLLOWED WITH REDEVELOPMENT
  THIS EVENING. LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW IS EXPECTED
  THIS EVENING...BEFORE GRADUALLY TAPERING OFF LATER TONIGHT.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WILL BE COMMON
  OVER ALL OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS. LOCAL 4 INCH AMOUNTS
  WILL BE POSSIBLE SOUTH AND WEST OF SPRINGFIELD. THE SNOW MAY MIX
  WITH OR CHANGE TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN SOUTH OF I-70 LATE
  TONIGHT...HOWEVER ANY ICING THAT OCCURS WILL BE VERY MINOR.

* IMPACTS...SNOW-COVERED ROADWAYS WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING
  CONDITIONS THROUGH TONIGHT. FOR THOSE WITH NEW YEARS EVE TRAVEL
