Upgrade to High Risk of Severe Thunderstorms by SPC

 
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has upgraded the risk of severe thunderstorms to a HIGH RISK 
of Severe Thunderstorms over all of northern Illinois and the Northern portion of central Illinois.  The high risk 
area of greatest severe weather potential for central Illinois will be over Marshall and Stark counties.  
In this High Risk area, Damaging Winds, Large Hail, and possible Tornadoes will be possible late this 
afternoon and this evening.  

In addition, over the remainder of central Illinois, there continues to be a Moderate risk of severe thunderstorms 
this afternoon and this evening. This includes the cities, of Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign, Danville, 
Springfield, and Mattoon.

Persons are advised to stay tuned to local TV stations and NOAA Weather Radio for later statements, watches, and warnings.
