2 to 4 inches of Snow Across the North & East Today

Another fast moving storm system will bring accumulating snows (see the storm total snowfall map below) into parts of our area today. Current indications suggest the potential for 2 to 4 inches of snow by late today along the Interstate 74 corridor, with locally higher amounts possible.  Further south, an inch or two of snow can be expected with afternoon temperatures climbing to around freezing from Springfield to Effingham. Most of the snow should be moving out of the area by this evening with windy and warmer conditions expected on Sunday.
