Steady Temperatures Near Freezing North

Over much of the past weekend and into Monday, temperatures remained within a degree of the freezing mark across northern sections of Central Indiana. With rain falling during parts of that time, a coating of ice formed on trees and powerlines. Ice accumulations of 0.25 inch were reported at Lafayette on Sunday.

Below are graphs of the hourly temperature for Lafayette and Muncie from late Friday morning through 11:00 AM Monday morning. The temperature is indicated by the red line, with dewpoints in green.

For Lafayette, temperatures were in the 31 to 33 degree range from about 10:00 AM Saturday December 8 through 11:00 AM December 11.

For Muncie, temperatures were in the 31 to 33 degree range from about 4:00 PM Saturday December 8 through 11:00 AM December 11.
