17 Consecutive Days with Snow on the Ground

February 22, 2010 marked the 17th consecutive day with at least an inch of snow on the ground. There was 2 inches on the ground at the National Weather Service Office as of 1 pm EST. Although the snow may seem like it has been around foreever...it was only 3 years ago that Indianapolis had a longer streak.  The current string only ranks 14th since 1960.
