First Time in 56 Days

At 7:08 EDT on Thursday, August 26, the temperature fell to 59 degrees at the Indianapolis International Airport.  The airport has not seen such cool weather since July 1.  During June, July and August 1998, the temperature remained above 59 degrees for 66 straight days.  The longest of record occurred in 1874 and exceeded 3 months.

The cool weather will continue through Saturday morning.  Summer weather returns on Saturday and continues into next week.
