NWS Indianapolis to Test New Climate Normals

The NWS Indianapolis Forecast Office will be the national test site for the implementation of the new 30-year climate normals (1981-2010).  The test period will occur from Monday, July 25th through Sunday, July 31st.  During this time, the new normals will appear on daily climate products issued by the office.  The monthly climate products at the end of this period, however, will still be based on the old 1971-2000 climate normals.  Full implementation of the new climate normals will begin throughout the entire NWS on August 1st.  To find out more information on the new normals, please click here.
