WARMER AND WETTER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS EXISTED AT BOTH JACKSON AND
LONDON FOR APRIL 2014. EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A SHORT COLD SNAP IN
THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH...THE JACKSON WEATHER OFFICE AND LONDON
CORBIN AIRPORT ENDED UP WELL ABOVE NORMAL FOR APRIL. BOTH LOCATIONS
WERE OVER THREE DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL. IN FACT...JACKSON AND
LONDON BOTH SAW APRIL 2014 RANK AS THE SEVENTH WARMEST APRIL. DUE
LARGELY TO A RAINY END TO THE MONTH...THE JACKSON WEATHER OFFICE AND
THE LONDON CORBIN AIRPORT FINISHED UP LAST MONTH WETTER THAN NORMAL.
JACKSON WAS OVER AN INCH AND A HALF ABOVE NORMAL...WHILE LONDON WAS
A LITTLE OVER ONE INCH WETTER. IT WAS ALSO THE SEVENTH WETTEST APRIL
ON RECORD AT JACKSON. THANKS TO A ONE INCH SNOWFALL ON ONE DAY LAST
MONTH...APRIL 2014 WAS THE EIGHTH SNOWIEST APRIL AT JACKSON. NO
SNOWFALL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE FOR THE LONDON CORBIN AIRPORT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE NEAR JACKSON FINISHED APRIL
2014 WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 60.7 DEGREES...WHICH IS 3.3
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 57.4 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH WAS
72.6 DEGREES...AND THE AVERAGE DAILY LOW WAS 48.9 DEGREES. APRIL

FOR APRIL WAS 85 DEGREES...AND OCCURRED ON THE 13TH AND 27TH. THE
13TH SET A NEW DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD FOR ITS DATE. ANOTHER
DAILY HIGH RECORD WAS ESTABLISHED ON THE 14TH WITH A READING OF 83
DEGREES. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE FROM APRIL 2014 WAS 27 DEGREES ON
THE 16TH...AND ESTABLISHED A NEW RECORD LOW FOR THAT DAY. A LOW OF
30 DEGREES ON THE 15TH SET THE ONLY OTHER LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD FROM
LAST MONTH. THERE WAS ALSO ONE MAXIMUM LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD SET...63
DEGREES ON THE 14TH.

THE JACKSON WEATHER OFFICE RECEIVED 5.43 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION IN
APRIL 2014...WHICH IS 1.60 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THERE WERE 14 DAYS

THE 15TH...WHICH ESTABLISHED A NEW SNOWFALL RECORD FOR THAT DAY.
APRIL 2014 WAS THE EIGHTH SNOWIEST APRIL AT JACKSON. THE SEASONAL
TOTAL IS NOW 38.9 INCHES...15.4 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THE 2013 2014
SNOW SEASON IS CURRENTLY IN 4TH PLACE ALL TIME. JACKSON TYPICALLY
AVERAGES 23.5 INCHES A SNOW SEASON.

THUNDER WAS HEARD ON SIX DAYS AT THE JACKSON WEATHER OFFICE...WHICH
