Summary of the November 5th Bath County Tornado

A storm damage survey team found evidence of a tornado touchdown on Day Road, southwest of Owingsville in Bath County, on Monday.  The tornado touched down around 5:12 pm and caused significant roof damage to four barns, blowing one off it’s foundation.  Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted along the 1.5 mile path.  The tornado crossed interstate 64 three miles southwest of Owingsville before lifting.  The tornado was rated EF-0 with peak winds near 85 mph.
