THANKS TO A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY...MANY AREAS SAW GENEROUS
AMOUNTS OF PRECIPITATION OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
RANGED FROM AROUND AN INCH NEAR INTERSTATE 64...TO OVER TWO AND A
HALF INCHES IN SOME ISOLATED AREAS OF SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY.
SIGNIFICANT RIVER RISES HAVE BEEN NOTED DUE TO THIS PRECIPITATION.
NOTABLY IN THE CUMBERLAND AND KENTUCKY RIVER BASINS. RIVER FORECAST
POINTS AT BOONEVILLE...IRVINE...AND WILLIAMSBURG ARE ANTICIPATED TO
CREST ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. OTHER POINTS ALONG THE CUMBERLAND AND
KENTUCKY RIVERS ARE EXPECTED TO RUN HIGH AS WELL. STAY TUNED TO YOUR

TO CHANGE TO SNOW SHOWERS BY THIS EVENING...AS COLDER AIR FILTERS
INTO THE COALFIELDS. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO VARY
FROM AROUND AN INCH OR LESS IN THE NORTHERN COALFIELDS...TO AS MUCH
AS THREE INCHES ALONG THE VIRGINIA BORDER.
