More Stations Now Available in our Regional Temperature & Precipitation Table

The Max/Min Temperature and Precipitation Table for Eastern Kentucky (RTPJKL) has recently been expanded to include several new stations in our forecast and warning area of responsibility.  Take a look...

This product is issued 3 times a day.  Below is the schedule of transmission and information on what type of data is provided with each issuance:

  • 7:15 am EST or 8:15 am EDT:  A summary of high temperatures for the previous day, overnight low temperatures, and 24 hour precipitation ending at 7 am EST or 8 am EDT.  This issuance contains information from area automated observing equipment (ASOS, AWOS, Kentucky Mesonet, etc) only.
  • 10:15 am EST and EDT:  A summary of high and low temperatures and precipitation for the previous 24 hours ending at 7 am EST or 8 am EDT.  In addition to observations from area automated observing sites, this issuance contains information from our dedicated Cooperative Weather Observers and from the CoCoRaHS observers in eastern Kentucky.
  • 7:15 pm EST or 8:15 pm EDT:  A summary of high and low temperatures over the last 18 hours and precipitation over the last 24 hours ending at 7 pm EST or 8 pm EDT.  This issuance contains information from area automated observing equipment (ASOS, AWOS, Kentucky Mesonet, etc) only.
