Storm Soaks Eastern Kentucky to End November; Second Wettest November Day on Record at London

A strong storm system soaked the eastern U.S. to end the month of November.  The storm began to impact east Kentucky late in the evening on Monday November 29th with generally light to moderate rain overspreading the area.  Strong winds also impacted the higher terrain along the Virginia border overnight Monday night with the Flatwoods Mesonet Station recording a 58 mph wind gust shortly after midnight.  The rainfall picked up in intensity on Tuesday November 30th in advance of a cold front, which passed through the area during the day.
