LAST MONTH A LITTLE WARMER THAN NORMAL. IN FACT...BOTH LOCATIONS
ENDED MARCH 2011 WITH THE SAME MEAN TEMPERATURE OF 47.7
DEGREES...WHICH IS EXACTLY 0.6 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AT JACKSON AND
LONDON. EVEN THOUGH THERE IS SOME DISTANCE IN GEOGRAPHY AND
ELEVATION BETWEEN JACKSON AND LONDON...TWO MONTHS HAVE EXACTLY THE
SAME MEAN TEMPERATURE...MARCH AND SEPTEMBER. BOTH LOCATIONS ALSO
ENDED UP LAST MONTH WETTER THAN NORMAL. LONDON WAS NEARLY ONE INCH
ABOVE NORMAL...WHILE JACKSON WAS A TAD OVER A THIRD OF AN INCH
WETTER. ALSO OF NOTE...LAST MONTH WAS THE TENTH WETTEST MARCH ON
RECORD AT JACKSON.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE NEAR JACKSON FINISHED MARCH
2011 WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 47.7 DEGREES...WHICH IS 0.6
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 47.1 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH WAS
57.5 DEGREES...AND THE AVERAGE DAILY LOW WAS 37.9 DEGREES. THE
HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR MARCH 2011 WAS 80 DEGREES...WHICH
OCCURRED ON THE 21ST AND 22ND...AND EACH BROKE A DAILY HIGH
TEMPERATURE RECORD FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE DATES. ANOTHER HIGH
TEMPERATURE RECORD WAS SET ON THE 20TH WITH A READING OF 78 DEGREES.
THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE FROM MARCH 2011 WAS 29 DEGREES ON THE 1ST AND
27TH. NO LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET OR TIED IN MARCH 2011. A
HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 39 DEGREES ON THE 25TH SET A MINIMUM HIGH
