JUNE 2011 ENDED UP ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION-WISE WITH THE JACKSON
WEATHER OFFICE OVER THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH WETTER...WHILE THE
LONDON CORBIN AIRPORT WAS OVER TWO INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. IN FACT...IT
WAS THE 10TH WETTEST JUNE ON RECORD AT LONDON. ON THE TEMPERATURE
SIDE OF THE FENCE...BOTH LOCATIONS WERE ABOUT A DEGREE AND A HALF
WARMER THAN NORMAL. ALSO OF NOTE...JACKSON AND LONDON BOTH SAW THE
TEMPERATURE WARM TO OVER 90 DEGREES ON JUNE 8TH...THE FIRST
OCCURRENCE OF THE YEAR AT BOTH SITES.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE NEAR JACKSON FINISHED JUNE
2011 WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 73.0 DEGREES...WHICH IS 1.6
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 71.4 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH WAS
82.1 DEGREES...AND THE AVERAGE DAILY LOW WAS 63.8 DEGREES. THE
HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR JUNE 2011 WAS 92 DEGREES...WHICH OCCURRED ON
THE 8TH AND ALSO ESTABLISHED A NEW HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD FOR THAT
DAY. TWO OTHER HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE TIED LAST MONTH...88
DEGREES ON THE 1ST AND 89 DEGREES ON THE 10TH. THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE FROM JUNE 2011 WAS 55 DEGREES ON THE 14TH. NO LOW
TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET LAST MONTH. A MINIMUM HIGH TEMPERATURE
RECORD WAS TIED ON THE 16TH WITH A READING OF 69 DEGREES. THERE WAS
ALSO ONE MAXIMUM LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD...ON THE 1ST WITH A READING
OF 72 DEGREES. ALSO...JUNE 2011 WAS THE 5TH MONTH IN A ROW WITH
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES.

JUNE 2011...WHICH IS 0.82 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 4.67 INCHES.
