JULY 2011 ENDED UP WITH ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION AS THE JACKSON
WEATHER OFFICE WAS NEARLY AN INCH AND A HALF WETTER...WHILE THE
LONDON CORBIN AIRPORT WAS A LITTLE OVER A THIRD OF AN INCH BELOW
NORMAL. IN FACT...IT WAS THE NINTH WETTEST JULY ON RECORD AT
JACKSON. ON THE TEMPERATURE SIDE OF THE FENCE...BOTH LOCATIONS WERE
OVER TWO DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL. FURTHERMORE...JULY 2011 WAS THE
FIFTH WARMEST JULY AT LONDON...AND THE SIXTH WARMEST JULY AT JACKSON.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE NEAR JACKSON FINISHED JULY
2011 WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 77.4 DEGREES...WHICH IS 2.4
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 75.0 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH WAS
86.1 DEGREES...AND THE AVERAGE DAILY LOW WAS 68.7 DEGREES. THE
HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR JULY 2011 WAS 92 DEGREES...WHICH OCCURRED ON
THE 28TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE FROM LAST MONTH WAS 63 DEGREES ON
THE 1ST. NO HIGH OR LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET LAST MONTH.
SURPRISINGLY...CONSIDERING NO MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET

SET ON THE 15TH WITH A READING OF 73 DEGREES. THERE WAS ALSO ONE
MAXIMUM LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD...ON THE 24TH WITH A READING OF 73
DEGREES. THERE WERE THREE MAXIMUM LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDS TIED LAST
MONTH...72 DEGREES ON THE 11TH...74 DEGREES ON THE 21TH AND 71
DEGREES ON THE 25TH. IN FACT...THE 71 DEGREES ON THE 25TH WAS THE
FIFTH TIME THAT JULY 25TH HAS HAD A LOW OF 71 DEGREES. ALSO...JULY
2011 WAS THE SIXTH MONTH IN A ROW WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
