Pictures from a Radar Tower Rescue Exercise

A tower rescue exercise was conducted at the Jackson National Weather Service (NWS) radar site on Wednesday, September 19. This was conducted as part of preparations for the upcoming dual pol upgrade of the Jackson NWS WSR-88D. The electronics staff of the Jackson NWS Weather Forecast Office partnered with the Jackson Fire Department to organize and conduct the exercise. It was a valuable learning experience for both the National Weather Service and the Jackson Fire Department. We send out a big thank you to the Jackson Fire Department!
