The dual-pol upgrade on the Doppler radar near Jackson, KY was completed on Thursday, November 8, 2012. The radar returned to service during the early afternoon hours. This technology will result in 14 new radar products, which will be used by NWS meteorologists to provide more accurate and timely warning and forecasts for hazardous weather conditions.
