Heavy Weekend Rain Pounds Western Kentucky, Largely Misses East Kentucky

A cold front moved through eastern Kentucky Sunday night.  This system produced over 6" of rain and major flooding for parts of western Kentucky over the weekend.  The rain largely missed us here in eastern Kentucky, however, with generally a 1/2" or less of rain for most locations in the eastern end of the state.  Here's a look at the statewide rainfall totals...

After a dry start to the work week, more rainfall is expected across the area Thursday into Friday.
