Snowfall and Frigid Temperatures affect East Kentucky January 21st and 22nd

Low pressure tracking across Tennessee and then up the east coast brought a period of moderate to heavy snow to eastern Kentucky on Tuesday January 21st, followed by lingering snow showers into the evening hours.

Snowfall amounts were light over the Cumberland Valley, generally an inch or less, but increased quickly to the north.  Widespread 4 to 6 inches amounts occurred north of an Irvine to Booneville to Cumberland line with isolated higher amounts.
