...ANOTHER NIGHT OF CHILLY TEMPERATURES ACROSS PORTIONS OF WESTERN
AND CENTRAL NEBRASKA...

FOR THE SECOND NIGHT IN A ROW...LOW TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF
WESTERN AND CENTRAL NEBRASKA WERE WELL BELOW NORMAL. A NUMBER OF
OBSERVING SITES FELL AT OR BELOW FREEZING WITH AREAS OF FROST OBSERVED
IN SOME LOCATIONS. THE CULPRIT WAS A STABLE AND COLD CANADIAN SURFACE
HIGH PRESSURE...WHICH SETTLED DIRECTLY OVER NEBRASKA. THIS FEATURE
WILL MOVE EASTWARD TODAY...AND WARMER AIR IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO
THE REGION TODAY AND TONIGHT...BRINGING AN END TO FREEZING
TEMPERATURES FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

BELOW 32 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. OBSERVATIONS ARE COMPILED FROM
AIRPORT OBSERVING STATIONS...NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF ROADS
STATIONS...AND COOPERATIVE OBSERVER STATIONS.
