75 Year Cooperative Observer Service Award

Mark Williams (pictured left) accepts a 75 year institutional service award on behalf of the Tell City Water Plant, from Rick Lasher, NWS Cooperative Program Manager. Staff at the water plant have provided daily temperature and rainfall observations to the National Weather Service, and the US Weather Bureau before that, since August 1937. Perhaps even more important, water plant personnel have provided river stage data when the Ohio is near or above flood stage. This service allows NWS Louisville to provide timely and accurate river forecasts and river flood warnings. Thanks to Mark and all the staff at Tell City Water Plant for your dedicated service.
