The National Weather Service will conduct a damage survey this afternoon at a rural location just southeast of Liberty, located in Casey County. Based on reports from the Casey County Emergency Manager, a storm early Monday afternoon damaged some trees and structures a few miles southeast of Liberty. Results of this survey should be available by evening at the latest.
The image below shows the storm at the time that the damage was reported. At this time it is uncertain whether this damage was caused by straight line winds or a weak tornado.
