Every year, the Aviation Museum of Kentucky conducts various camps across the state, for students interested in aviation. John Gordon, Meteorologist in Charge of the Louisville NWS office, was invited to speak to the students at one of the camps held at Bowman Field on Thursday July 17th. John gave a 30 minute presentation to the group of about 50 students about useful aviation weather information, and where to find it on the web. Additionally, the talk covered some basic weather hazards to aircraft like thunderstorms, turbulence, and icing. Below are some pictures of the event.
