Louisville's First July on Record Without a 90 Degree Temperature

Everyone realizes July has been an unusually cool month in Louisville, but now an unusual record has been set. The high temperature at Louisville Internationaldid not reach 90 degrees in July. This has never ocurred in Louisville's recorded history (since 1873). Three times in Louisville's history only one 90+ degree day was recorded in July, most recently 1979 when 90 degrees occurred on the 16th. Incidently, July 1979 also recorded over 10 inches of rain, the 4th wettest ever. The highest temperature measured was 89.1 degrees on the 10th.
