EF-0 Tornado confirmed in Monroe County May 2, 2010

A STORM DAMAGE SURVEY TEAM FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN
LOUISVILLE HAS CONFIRMED AN EF-0 TORNADO IN MONROE COUNTY IN SOUTH
CENTRAL KENTUCKY DURING THE MORNING HOURS ON MAY 2ND...2010.

PRELIMINARY REPORTS INDICATE THAT THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN AROUND
835 AM CDT AROUND 4.3 MILES WEST OF TOMPKINSVILLE. A TOBACCO BARN
AND SEVERAL TREES WERE DAMAGED. THE TORNADO THEN TRAVELED AROUND 5.7
MILE EAST AND LIFTED 1.4 MILES EAST OF TOMPKINSVILLE AFTER DAMAGING
SEVERAL TREES.
