The area of low pressure associated with this winter weather system is centered across south central Kentucky as of 10 am this morning and will continue to move eastward through the day.
The bulk of the precipitation with this system has moved into eastern Kentucky. Light rain will continue through the morning hours across south central Kentucky. Across the northern Bluegrass region, including the city of Lexington, light freezing rain or freezing drizzle will continue through the morning hours. Across southern Indiana and other portions of north central Kentucky, though the freezing rain has ended, temperatures remain near or below freezing. Icy conditions will continue across these areas through the morning hours.
