Another Round of Rain Tonight through Wednesday Night

MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINS EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT

LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE OUT OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON...BRINGING A SURGE OF GULF OF MEXICO MOISTURE INTO THE OHIO VALLEY TONIGHT. EXPECT SHOWERS TO BE WIDESPREAD BY LATE EVENING WITH SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS.  RAINFALL TOTALS FROM THE OVERNIGHT RAINS SHOULD AVERAGE AROUND AN INCH ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA AND CENTRAL KENTUCKY

THE LATEST ROUND OF FORECAST MODELS INDICATE SOME DRY AIR MAY BRING A PAUSE IN THE RAINS WEDNESDAY MORNING. ANY SUNSHINE THAT MANAGES TO BREAK THROUGH THE CLOUDS WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL ENABLE ANOTHER LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP JUST AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT MOVING INTO THE REGION WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. AREAS THAT SEE THESE STORMS LIKELY RECEIVE ANOTHER HALF INCH TO INCH OF RAINFALL IN THE AFTERNOON.

THE COMBINATION OF THE OVERNIGHT RAINS TUESDAY AND THE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND STORMS MAY BRING SOME LOCALIZED FLOODING. AREA RIVERS ALSO LIKELY WILL SEE RISES AGAIN. STAY TUNED TO UPDATES IN THE FORECASTS OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
