Storm Damage Surveys to be Conducted 4/5-4/6

Severe storms rolled through the area Monday, April 4th, 2011 during the late morning hours and lasting throughout the afternoon (see radar image below).

The strongest storms occurred over south central Kentucky with some of them possibly containing tornadoes or intense straight line wind damage.  5 areas of damage are scheduled to be investigated by storm damage survey teams from NWS Louisville on April 5th-6th.  The following map shows approximate areas of damage that the teams will be surveying.

#1 -- southern Ohio, northern Butler, southern Grayson counties

#2 -- northern Logan, southern Butler, northern Warren, southern/central Edmonson counties

#3 -- north central Hart, northern Green, northern Taylor counties

#4 -- central Adair, northern Russell, southern Casey counties

#5 -- Monroe, southern Cumberland, and southern/central Clinton counties
