Severe Storms and Widespread soaking rains expected today....

Showers with a few occasional lightning strikes likely will continue for several hours this evening. With the ground moist from previous rains this month...the additional 1 to 2 inches of rain from today and this evening may lead to rapid rises in small streams and creeks. Ponding of water is also likely on area fields and pastures.
