Severe Storms Possible Late This Afternoon

Temperatures have rebounded back into the 70s after this morning's rainfall/cloudy skies, and could even top out in the low 80s late this afternoon.  This subsequent warm air mass will combine with an upper level disturbance crossing the region late this afternoon to produce another round of showers and storms that will continue into the evening hours.  These storms have a chance of being severe, and as such the region is under a slight risk for severe weather, as indicated by the Day 1 outlook from the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) below.  The main threats will be from strong to severe wind gusts as well as large hail.
